Five Awesome Unknown Animes

Friday, April 15, 2016
Some animes are super popular. And they can be amazing. But there are so many animes that fall under the radar. But they shouldn't!

Natsume Yuujinchou

Natsume's Book of Friends
This is one of my favorite animes now. The kind Natsume really caught my attention. And the way he treats all the youkai with respect and kindness was something I admired completely. I cried happy tears almost every episode. And that's a good thing.

07 Ghost
This is the anime that's about religion but totally not about religion. Teito and Mikhail are the best of friends, and I loved their relationship. The 'ghosts' have cute relationships with Teito. And the story was quite amazing. This anime is about amnesiac Teito who seeks shelter in a church and encounters weirdness there.

Problem Children Are Coming from Another World, Aren't They?
If you don't mind super-powered teens, then this is the anime for you. The three main characters have odd but cool powers. And they're brought from their 'boring' lives to a world of games and challenges. The story is sadly incomplete. But the action is awesome, and the art is gorgeous. Don't get turned off by the long name. It's still amazing.

Library Wars
Ah. Where do I start? Library Wars focuses on brawny but not quite a genius Kasahara who fights in the Library Corps to protect books and other art forms. This anime has an odd art style, but the story is so sweet and amazing. You start to love Kasahara and can't wait for her to figure out how to get out of bad situations. To top it off, Kasahara is brave and fearless and will do anything to protect her friends.

Last Exile
I haven't seen this anime in a while. It's focused on a world where flying is basically the only way to go anywhere. The leads Klaus and Lavie meet Alvis a young girl with mysterious importance and begin their adventure to protect her. The color palette was softer than typically used in anime. It's extremely appealing to the eye. And the sights from the planes? Beyond amazing.
