This Week's Topic:

Ten Series I Have YET to Start

I'll probably get some hate for this TTT. Sigh...
These are the series I haven't started yet. They MIGHT be on my TBR; they might not. They're wildly popular, and I just haven't started them.
Yet.

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters You Just Didn't Click With

This Week's Topic:

Ten Character You Just Didn't Click With

This is a toughie. Why? It's because I'm such an easygoing person. I can't really 'not click' with book characters. (Aka I'm good with most of the characters I read.) Plus, I go into a hazy state when I read. I'm not completely conscious of what I'm reading. And...bad memory.
So that's...three reasons? Yeah. Awesome.
But I'll try my hardest!

 9627755

Isla from Isla and the Happily Ever After

Ugh. This girl. I just hated her. She was a stalker. I swear. I told everyone that I thought she was a stalker.

 17453983

Anna from Anna and the French Kiss

I just felt like Anna was weak-willed. She didn't fight back or anything. I raged as I read this book.

 11408650

Noah Shaw from The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

I know some people adore Noah Shaw. I just felt like he was so rude. He was so cocky. He got everything he wanted. That isn't how the world works.

 19549841

Seraphina from Seraphina

I think I'm terrible for saying this, but...I think Seraphina is too nice. Is that possible? She was too friendly. It was a bit overwhelming. No one is that nice.

 16096824

Feyre from A Court of Thorns and Roses

While I admired Feyre for her love of her family, I thought she fell in love too quickly. So yeah.

 20613470

Rowan from Heir of Fire

I know lots of people think Rowan's hot. I think he's a hot mess. Period.

23361172

Stevie from Paperweight

She just...annoyed me. She was disrespectful and downright rude. She didn't care for the other girls. She insulted them. She taunted them.

 22918050

Eadlyn from The Heir

She was rude. Gutsy but rude. I didn't like her rudeness and unapologetic nature. Can't you be nice?

 17402117

Lexi from Branded

I just couldn't stand her. She was kinda wimpy. And she fell too easily. Weak reasons but still.

10798416

Hadley from The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

I don't believe in love at first sight. I didn't like that she fell so easily. On the other hand, I didn't like her personality. And she practically stalked him. Seriously?

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books That Would Be On Your Syllabus If You Taught

Top Ten Books That Would Be On Your Syllabus If You Taught

I decided to mix things up this week. Instead of books on my syllabus if I taught X 101, I decided to make a list of ten books I think high schools should have on their required reading syllabus.
Have you seen some of those lists? Absolutely blegh. So here's my list.

20821111

This book has awesome females with awesome powers. Gender equality! And it also has antiheroes. Not all main characters are the 'good' guys.

15863832

This book has a badass girl. Gender equality again. And she knows lots of self-defense. That's just a plus in general.

12000020

This book has TWO LGBT characters. And they're MAIN CHARACTERS. AND they are minorities.

22896551

This book explores a different side of LGBTTQQIAAP . The I in that acronym is for intersex. I honestly didn't know about intersex before this book.

22736613

Five words.
It's okay to be gaaayyy.

23848184

This book is about friendship. (Rare!) And minorities. (Rare as well!)

11366397

This book talks about depression in a new way. It doesn't hold back, though, and it tells the spiral of depression in a new and creative way.

9917938

This book has a huge emphasis on family. And keeping promises. Woohoo!

9361589

Just had to add this book.
Because magic.
You gotta believe in magic and the impossible.

13628178

This book talks about fitting in and being different. Definitely important.
